Swindled by Obama’s Suave and Oratorical Prowess
By Kevin A. Lehmann on in Kevin's Commentary, Politics
With every article I write and every blog post I make, somebody is inevitably offended. But what’s really offended, their knowledge? Their intellect? Almost always, it’s their feelings. Feelings are powerful. After all, who doesn’t like to feel happy, excited or content . . . unconditionally loved, appreciated and sexually satisfied? We’re a walking conundrum of feelings—a network of nerves that fuel and rule the emotion of the moment.
Why did I drive my old Ferrari at 200 miles an hour? It was the feeling that came from living on the edge—the rush I got from pushing the envelope and defying death as my heart pounded in tandem with every uptick of the odometer. I was addicted to adrenalin. But did it make me a professional race car driver? Did I understand aerodynamics? Did I study racing tactics and hone my skills as a race car driver? Was I Mario Andretti? Did I have his knowledge, experience or skillset? Not at all. But that didn’t matter because, even if for a brief moment, I felt like Mario Andretti and no amount of knowledge or reasoning could convince me otherwise.
When people like Major General Paul Vallely, Dr. Jerome Corsi and Christian apologists like, Dr. John Noe, provide indisputable truth that bucks the prevailing belief of the masses, it hurts their feelings no matter how false those feelings may be. And rather than listen to reasoning or acquire additional knowledge, people prefer to defend their false feelings and go on the attack, rather than offer a retort rooted in knowledge.
Even with today’s science, and knowledge now doubling every seven years, not much has changed. Knowledge has given way to nebulae and facts yield to feelings. In a politically-correct world, democracy is out and collectivism is in. Dare we exercise our First Amendment freedom of speech, lest we offend someone’s feelings. We now live in an interconnected world where globalism replaces patriotism and assimilation trumps emancipation.
Besides organized religion, Barack Obama may be the greatest example in the history of the world of just how much more powerful feelings are over facts and tradition is over truth. A presidential candidate of unprecedented oratory skills, but equally unqualified oval office skills, was able to rise to the highest and most powerful position in all of the world—the President of the United States—by appealing to our what? Knowledge? Religious affiliation? Education? Were we drawn to his experience? His executive qualifications? His political persuasions? No. He appealed to our esoteric feelings—he assuaged our deepest desire for hope and change. In a nutshell, he stroked our egos and America basked in the epicurean emotionalism all the way to doomsday.
The acronym for EGO is often referred to as “Edging God Out.” I refer to it as “Education Gone Obsolete.” We live in a world where we are no longer taught “how to think,” but “what to think,” not “how to learn,” but “what to learn.” We value precedence over prudence, wizardry over wisdom and feelings over facts.
As the impending batch of oval office candidates state their case for why they should be president, hopefully we’ll be more cognizant of their experience and qualifications and less infatuated with their “oratorical cool.” We don’t need an anointed ideologue that’s exulted as a divine democrat who brings Oprah Winfrey to tears. What we need is a Patriotic American who values the bedrock principles upon which our great nation was founded, appreciates the blood that was shed for her greatness, will restore her honor and standing in the world, and provide the hope and change that we can actually take to the bank—not to bankruptcy.
Until next time . . . Wake Up America!

There are a variety of subjects where intellectual conversations are shut down when view by one party as challenging the basic core of their beliefs. Intelligent design is one
I like your EGO acronym…… it is so true.
Please don’t stop your fight
There are millions of us who agree

sometimes Feelings get in the way of facts

Very good Article. We sure are told what and how think, while being told what and how to believe. I knew Obama was a great speaker and that he was a politician. I had just hoped that he would not for get that he got his start in the South Side of Chicago, but he has forgotten that. That must have been pure politics too.

I loved this piece….it reflects what I say frequently about how Obama got elected… how I saw the look of adoration on a sea of faces, but no one seemed to actually hear what was saying…. granted the choices we had were indicative of the patients running the asylum….but even though there are “polls” out there that give him around 50% (whatever that means) the reality is that if he were to get elected again, it’ll be proof that our system is corrupt…I voted in a FB poll that asked if he would (or should) get 4 more years (I even took a screenshot of it) and the results were 93% AGAINST…heck I can’t even stand the way the guy saunters

Someone who understands that people have feelings. Obama understood that, but he just scared me last time and scares me even more now. I voted for McCain, but was extremely reticent about it and am hoping Republicans will nominate someone acceptable this time.

If you value life, and if you value freedom from oppression, search for “Crazy Patriots” on Facebook and then click the “Like” link. Maybe you should read “STOP THE BULLSHIT if you really believe in God” and learn why appreciating the wisdom of Kevin A. Lehmann is a great first step to understanding the current challenges we are facing. Do rational people care about survival or are they content to die with their heads buried deep in complacency?

I never understand the attraction. First, he came off as fake and sleazy, like a used car salesman. I found Clinton a brilliant orator because he could ad lib facts and tie them together all day. All obama ever did was spout cliches’ — and that chin in the air pose! The Greek columns! The speech in Germany!
“Hope?” as a political policy? I don’t thiink so.
“Change?” That’s neutral. Change could mean turning the country into the Balkans (which he’s almost doing). Why would anyone vote for “change,” when you don’t know what kind of change it is?
I read about him and was amused at his 137 (?) present votes and disgusted because he voted to kill newborns who survived abortions — twice! I knew he wasn’t culturally American — didn’t grow up with the flag and apple pie, but in a foreign land hearing the call to prayer, which he described as “the most beautiful sound on earth.” He even promised to “stand with the muslims!” How could he defend the Constitution and Americans?
Then there was his racist pastor and wife with her “mean country” BS. The refusal to say the Pledge or put his hand over his heart. His friendship with Bill Ayres. All this stuff was easily accessible before the election.
I found it juvenile that he gave people “the finger” and insulting when he said the Republicans would laugh at his “funny name.” I hated the way his people made McCain sound like a bigot, saying he had run the dirtiest campaign in history. And who could vote for somebody just because of skin color? So what? His ideas were sh**! And to top it all off, he hid all his paperwork and ridiculed anyone who asked about it. What was THAT all about? Sounded like a crook to me.
There’s my rant. I cannot understand people who voted for him, but I’m glad they seem to be awakened from their state of hynosis now. All I can say is:
Okay, you voted for obama in 2008 to show you’re not racist. Now vote for somebody else in 2012 to show you’re not an idiot.

Great article, you summed it up nicely. As to Obama, I think he is much more dangerous than people believe. I’m almost believing the conspiracy folks who claim he is like the Manchurian Candidate, now the Manchurian President with Soros speaking the secret words in his ear.
Any how the Jewish/Middle East issue is what will heat up next, here is my take on it: http://bit.ly/jilxvX

Well written and right on. President Obama is slick, smooth of word and bent on destroying the United States as it had stood for 200+ years. He is; anti-semetic, communist, muslum leaning and I dare say well backed by those factions who have the destruction of the United States as chief of their desires.
